Public cloud building project for operators (China Mobile)

The overall strategic arrangement of China mobile cloud computing is the strategic arrangement of 2+N’s centralized construction and regional radiation. Based on the north and south IT supporting bases of China Mobile current network, they plan to establish two large cloud computing network centers located in north and south respectively. Some large provinces establish province-level cloud computing centers, but some small and medium-sized provinces do not join in it.


The two cloud computing network centers located in north and south are equipped with two complete cloud computing platforms to support resources of IT supporting cloud, business supporting cloud and public service cloud of the overall networks. They are also responsible for the operation and management of cloud resources. To make the cost of establish and operation of cloud computing platform as low as possible, they choose the provinces and areas which have a relatively low cost to establish large-scale green data center. As the two cloud computing network centers’ expanded fundamental equipments, they will act as the physical supports for the two cloud computing network centers’ hardware equipment of cloud computing, including IT equipment, system and network.


The province which has a larger scale of business will be responsible for building the province-level cloud computing center, supporting province-level IT supporting cloud and business supporting cloud. They will be also responsible for the operation and management of the established cloud resource. For those provinces not participating in the building of cloud computing platform, their existing IT supporting system and business platform will be gradually and one by one integrated with the overall network cloud computing data center, establishing all IT supporting system based on the enterprise’s internal cloud platform thoroughly.
